It’s never too late to finish well! Finishing Well is an interactive Bible study for men of all ages, with a particular focus on men 40 and older. The goal isn’t to dwell on where a man has been, but to consider where he’s going and what God can still do with the years ahead.

Some men have had a great start. Others haven’t. Some have made wise choices, while others carry the consequences of difficult seasons, failures, or regrets. Finishing Well is about recognizing that the story isn’t over. By God’s grace, a man can grow, change, lead better, love better, and finish stronger than he started.

Each week will include a RightNow Media Bible study featuring David Pollack, along with interactive discussion, honest conversation, and practical application from God’s Word.

There’s something special about worshiping together outside — especially when the weather starts to cool down!

On October 25, we’re taking worship outdoors and gathering together in the front yard at The Gathering Burgaw for a special worship service.

With cooler weather, plenty of open space, and room for everyone to spread out, this is a great opportunity to invite a friend, bring your family, and worship together as a community.

Come ready to sing, celebrate, and lift our voices together as we make the most of a beautiful fall morning.

This local missions opportunity provides a chance to spend time with the residents of Campbell Health & Rehab in Burgaw, bringing worship, fellowship, friendship, and discipleship to those in the community. The goal is to build meaningful relationships, encourage residents, and share the love of Christ through genuine connection and time together.

This is a great opportunity for all ages. Families, kids, students, adults, and seniors can all play a part. Whether through worship, conversation, prayer, encouragement, or simply being present, every person can make a difference.

Missions Opportunities: Christmas Around the World & Around the Corner

Kickoff: September 27 • Items Due: November 11

This Christmas season, we have two opportunities to make a difference — around the world and in our own state.

Starting September 27, we’re launching two Christmas outreach and missions opportunities:

🎁 Operation Christmas Child — International Focus
Pack a shoebox, fill it, mark it appropriately with gender and age range, then bring it back. Shipping costs $10 per box - please include it in the envelope that accompanies the box. These boxes, when completed and turned in, will be sent to children around the world. It’s a simple way to share the joy of Christmas and the love of Jesus with a child across the globe.

🎒 Appalachian Christmas Backpack — Local Focus
Help provide Christmas gifts and needed supplies for children in the Appalachian region. The Gathering will be providing backpacks and Bibles for you to take home, shop for, and fill. These bags will then be collected and delivered to children in need in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. It’s a great way to serve families in our surrounding states.

We want everyone to jump in!

Choose an opportunity. Grab a list. Fill a box or backpack. Bring it back. You can participate individually, as a family, with your small group, or with your kids. Whether you pack one or pack several, every gift makes a difference.

Pick up your item list and get started on September 27th. All completed boxes and backpacks are due back by November 11.

Don’t just hear about the opportunity — be part of it. Let’s come together as a church family and put the love of Jesus into action this Christmas.

The 1613 Young Men’s Conference is a FREE one-day gathering designed to challenge and equip young men to stand firm in their faith and lead with biblical conviction in every area of life. Rooted in 1 Corinthians 16:13, this conference will focus on what it means to be watchful, faithful, courageous, and strong in today’s world.

Throughout the day, speakers Adam Kord, Allen Murray, Art Sauer, Ben Horrell, Bobby Owings, and John McGough will share practical, Scripture-centered teaching on marriage, fatherhood, faithfulness, and worship. Whether you are a teenager, young adult, husband, father, or simply seeking to grow spiritually, this event is designed to encourage brotherhood, discipleship, and Christ-centered leadership.

The conference will take place at The Gathering Burgaw, located at 607 S Walker Street in Burgaw, NC. Main sessions run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an optional early morning workout and breakfast beginning at 7:00 AM.

Serve Day – Prayer Garden Restoration at Matthew 25 Center

Join us on July 18 for a hands-on Serve Day as we partner with the Matthew 25 Center to help restore and refresh their prayer garden. This space is a place of peace, reflection, and prayer for the community, and we have the opportunity to help make it beautiful again.

All materials and supplies will be provided on site, but we need willing volunteers ready to work with their hands. We’re looking for people who can help with general labor, cleanup, rebuilding, landscaping, and light construction tasks. If you have access to basic hand tools or power tools, we encourage you to bring them as they may be helpful throughout the day.

This is a great opportunity to serve alongside others, make a tangible impact, and invest in a space dedicated to prayer and spiritual renewal.

On May 7th at 7:14pm, Ogden Baptist Church will be hosting a night of prayer. This night of prayer will be centered around prayer for revival within our community, neighborhoods, nation, and in the world. Let’s pray together!

Calling all Ladies!

The Gathering Burgaw hosts a bimonthly Bible study for all ladies on the second + fourth Saturdays of every month. It is located at The Gathering Burgaw from 9:00am-10:30am and you can expect a great time of fellowship, some light breakfast goodies, and an encouraging, uplifting, and challenging Bible study. The goal is to help women of all ages grow closer to God, be who God created them to be, and be better equipped for the things that God has called them to do. We can’t wait to see you!
