Missions Opportunities: Christmas Around the World & Around the Corner

Kickoff: September 27 • Items Due: November 11

This Christmas season, we have two opportunities to make a difference — around the world and in our own state.

Starting September 27, we’re launching two Christmas outreach and missions opportunities:

🎁 Operation Christmas Child — International Focus
Pack a shoebox, fill it, mark it appropriately with gender and age range, then bring it back. Shipping costs $10 per box - please include it in the envelope that accompanies the box. These boxes, when completed and turned in, will be sent to children around the world. It’s a simple way to share the joy of Christmas and the love of Jesus with a child across the globe.

🎒 Appalachian Christmas Backpack — Local Focus
Help provide Christmas gifts and needed supplies for children in the Appalachian region. The Gathering will be providing backpacks and Bibles for you to take home, shop for, and fill. These bags will then be collected and delivered to children in need in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. It’s a great way to serve families in our surrounding states.

We want everyone to jump in!

Choose an opportunity. Grab a list. Fill a box or backpack. Bring it back. You can participate individually, as a family, with your small group, or with your kids. Whether you pack one or pack several, every gift makes a difference.

Pick up your item list and get started on September 27th. All completed boxes and backpacks are due back by November 11.

Don’t just hear about the opportunity — be part of it. Let’s come together as a church family and put the love of Jesus into action this Christmas.
